Painted corner room: Megan in a pink chair waving, her black cat Chad and gray tabby Bobby on a pink rug with a bag of treats, a stained glass window, Ravens and UF pennants, a water lily painting, a desk with a monitor and laptop, and a bookshelf with books, travel mugs, a geode and snow globes.

I'm Megan Gilbert, Director of Marketing at Bitmotive. The black cat beside me is Chad, and the one with the enormous eyes is Bobby. Click around the room to flip through my favorite books, shake a snow globe, or say hi to the cats. If you'd rather play, help Chad and Bobby chase treats across the apartment.

Chad & Bobby's Treat Trail

Swap between a speedy cat and a high-jumping cat to collect every treat on the way to me.

Where's Bobby?

Bobby is hiding somewhere in the apartment. Find him in five rooms before he wins, and watch out for Chad.

Chad's Sky Tour

Captain Chad flies his pink plane over the Chicago skyline. Weave between skyscrapers and storm clouds and grab the fish treats.

Director of Marketing, BitmotiveWeb developmentSocial contentPhotographyMusic

By day I'm the Director of Marketing at Bitmotive, where I get to do a little of everything: campaigns, websites and the social content that ties it all together. I'm usually behind a camera too, shooting photos for work and for fun.

Fun facts: I'm an Anthropology student at UF, I could talk about the Vietnam War for hours, and I got into geology after waking up in Antigua to what I thought was snow. Spoiler: it was volcanic ash from Montserrat.

When I'm not working, I'm usually reading in a local café, sifting through a thrift store, wandering a museum, making music covers (I play cello and piano, and I sing), or cheering on the Ravens, with Chad and Bobby waiting at home.

What I do

Marketing. As Director of Marketing at Bitmotive: campaigns, messaging and strategy built around the audience.

Web development. Fast, mobile-friendly sites that look like the brand.

Social content. Posts, short-form video and content calendars for Instagram and TikTok.

Photography. Brand, food, portrait and elopement shoots. Artist shoots are my favorite: I’d love to work with more tattoo artists and creatives, so get in touch.

Recent project: Chad & Bobby's Treat Trail, a browser game starring my cats.

A few favorite books

Water Lilies

Claude Monet painted the water lilies in his own pond at Giverny, France, roughly 250 times over the last three decades of his life. He built the garden himself, with a Japanese-style footbridge, willows and lilies, then spent years painting it at every hour and in every season.

In the later canvases the horizon disappears entirely: just water, reflected sky and floating flowers. The biggest panels are so wide they wrap around entire rooms, which is why the wall above my desk gets its own lily pond.

University of Florida

BA, Anthropology (in progress)

Anthropology is the study of people: culture, language, behavior. It's the research side of everything I do in marketing and content.

Snow globes & mugs

My snow globes are a little map of the places that matter to me:

Antigua and Barbuda, my childhood home.
Chicago, where my family is from, and where I fell in love with dance.
Boston, because I dream of attending Harvard Law School.

The mugs above them come from every state I've visited. Only 11 more to go! Click a snow globe on the shelf to shake it.
